The decision of what, when and where to play is yours; however, I will help you decide based on my vast experience at many varied events. Together we can agree what might be best for your particular occasion such as: Weddings and Civil Ceremonies. On your very Special Day, lively upbeat tunes as you go into or come out of church would add to the atmosphere and ceremony. I can play at the Reception also, piping you and your guests into the dining room. I am happy to be included in any photographs with you and your guests too. Funerals. If sadly it is a more sombre day such as the funeral of a close family member, a lament such as "The Flowers of the Forest" would be more appropriate and fitting. Burn's Nights. A particular favourite of mine. I can arrange the whole evening for you from Piping in the Haggis, the speeches (The Selkirk Grace, Address to the Haggis, The Immortal Memory etc), poems, audience participation (which always goes down very well) finished-off with a selection of Scottish and Irish Folk Music and Songs and some more modern numbers. I play the guitar, bodhran, harmonicas, mandolin and a few other instruments and can provide my own full sound system. New Year's Eve Parties. The pipes at Midnight are a must for any New Year's Eve Party. Corporate Events. Want to make an impact at your corporate event? Make your clients feel a bit special? I can play to greet your clients as they arrive or perform during your event. Military Formal Dinners. I have played at many of these during my Service career and most recently at the Officers' Mess, Corsham and the Sergeant's Mess Royal Air Force Lyneham. Any other Occasion. I have piped at special birthdays, election rallys, sporting events and a host of other events. Just let me know what you want.
